Apple Filling
- Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan, chopped apples, lemon juice, powdered sugar, cinnamon and vanilla.
- Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are softened but still a little firm.
- Let the apple filling cool completely.
Pie crust
- Place the dry ingredients, flour, powdered sugar and salt in the food processor and mix for 30 seconds.
- Add the cold butter cut into pieces to the blender and mix at maximum speed for 1 minute or until crumbly. Then, add 1-2 tbsp cold water until the dough is smooth and uniform in consistency.
- Wrap dough in plastic wrap and transfer to refrigerator. Allow to set for approximately 1 hour.
Assembly the Apple Pie

Baking the Apple Pie
- Preheat the oven to 200 °C and lightly grease the pie dish.
- Whisk one egg yolk with one tablespoon of milk and brush it on the top crust and around the edges of the pie.
- Bake the pie for about 25
- minutes, until the filling starts bubbling inside the pie. When the pie is ready, remove it from the oven and let cool completely before slicing. Serve with some vanilla ice cream and enjoy!
